Ingredients
1/3 cup water
2/3 cup oil
1 tsp salt
2 cups white flour
Directions
Whisk water, oil, and salt together in microwave-safe bowl. Heat on HIGH for 20-30 seconds until warm.
Add flour all at once to mixture, quickly mix with a fork until just combined.
Divide dough into two parts. Roll out between waxed paper to desired size and shape. Makes 2 crusts.
Note: Do not double recipe! I’ve tried it before, and trust me when I say that things will go poorly if alter or increase any measurements.
From the Recipe Box of: Grandma Evelyn
Recipe Story:
Shortly after she married my dad, my mom watched her mother-in-law make an apple pie, and was shocked at how quickly and easily Grandma made the crust. Thirty years later, we still use this insanely easy recipe for all our Thanksgiving and Christmas pies. I am putting it out into the universe so that other people can benefit from the joy of making homemade pie crust without fear or fuss!
P.S. I submitted this recipe at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art exhibit on 11/26/19, and when I got home I realized that I wrote down the measurements incorrectly. This version is the correct one, so if you find the original one I pinned to the board at the museum, please discard it!
